CATCH UP

WOW!! It has been an EXTREMELY LONG TIME since I have posted last. Its really hard for me to remember to do this for some reason. Here is an update on our lives since January:

January- We found out on inauguration day that we are PREGNANT!! I took a pregnancy test at lunch and sent a pic of it to Jim to confirm it was 2 lines. I was so surprised. We were trying but still shocked me!

February- My Birthday was in February and we celebrated by meeting up with my friends at Tilas.

March- nothing to exciting to share
April- Jim's parents and sister came down for Easter. They took me maternity outfit shopping. It was fun to get new clothes and maternity pants are so comfortable with the elastic! We had a really nice Easter visiting and laughing with the Larkins.

I went with my mom and sister to Indiana to visit with my Great Grandma Gladys one last time. She was still herself, spunky and full of it when we saw her. It was really good to spend that time with her and the family! I will always remember her for getting me hooked on coffee! She used to feed it to me in teaspoons when I was a baby!
Stephanie and I went to Dallas for our friends Ali wedding shower for the last weekend in April. Friday night, Stephanie, Ali and I had fun going to dinner in downtown McKinney and catching up with one another. Saturday Stephanie and I spent the day in Dallas meeting her sister for lunch, getting my haircut and getting pedi/mani for the shower that evening. Ali's shower was a dinner shower! I have never been to one of those. It was really fun and so good to see ALL my girlfriends. Oh how I miss them. Ali you will make a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!! I cant wait for July 11!

May- We found out on May 4th we are having a GIRL!!!! YAY!!! We could not be anymore excited for the little blessing she will be. She is going to melt Jim's heart. Her name will be Lilian Marie Larkin (Lily).

For mothers day, since I am almost a mom, we went and registered at Target and Baby's r us. I did not know that it was going to be so overwhelming and stressful. When my twin siblings were little everything was simple. Technology has come a long way and there was a lot of different items to chose from. I enjoyed spending the time with Jim and dreaming all day about the different lives ahead of us.
May 9 weekend we had a CRAWFISH BOIL with about 50 people at over from our Sunday School class. It was ALOT of work but definitely a BLAST.

Memorial Day weekend we went to hit the sales (what little ones there were) and purchase a crib and chair for Lily's room. After going to 3 different stores and once again being overwhelmed with the choices, we decided. We found a beautiful white crib and green upholstered chair at USA baby. They will both be in around end of July.

Here we are to June and already this past week its been filled with getting tons of projects done and the NURSERY!! I will post separately on the Nursery with pictures.

It has been a very crazy last 5-6 months. The Lord has blessed me with a REALLY smooth and healthy pregnancy. I was only sick 2 days out of my first trimester but did have EXTREME fatigue. The second trimester I am my old self again. I have so much energy. I am driving Jim nuts on all the projects and organization I want to accomplish before Lily arrives. We are praying for Lily everyday and can't wait to see our gift from God.
