Houston Baby Shower

My Houston Baby Shower was July 18th. It was PERFECT. Sarah was so kind to open up her house and organize the shower. My sweet friends, Stephanie, Carrie, Jill, Julie and Christen all helped host. My mom and I got there and were welcomed with a VERY CUTE sign on the door. There was a variety of delicious food, some of my favorites: chocolate chip cake, chicken salad, spinach dip, fruit salad, etc. There was fun pink and green decor all around. The best part of the shower was the prayer. Every hostess had a note card with something special to pray about. They prayed for Lily's birth and the delivery, Lily's toddler years, Lily's school years, Lily's salvation, for Jim and I as parents and for our marriage. My mom was in tears and thought it was so special that the girls thought to do that. The one that got to me the most was Lily's salvation. I definitely need to be in prayer about this EVERY DAY. I pray God will use both Jim and I to show his light and love to Lily and she will want to accept him into her life one day. It was a good time to catch up with friends and talk about the future with Lily! We got some really great things and there were some girls who were so creative and made baskets full of neat gifts.
