Lets start with saying that Meghan's 1st letter last year was from A&M girls soccer recruiting her for class of 2011. WHAT?? SO COOL! This is the school she wants to play at. They are top 6 right now!
We all decided to meet in College Station a couple weekends ago to go to one of the A&M girls soccer games. Well to make this weekend even more special......... earlier that week my Dad got a phone call from one of the D'feeter coaches (her club team) with some awesome news. He said, "Ray I received a text message from Coach G (A&M girls coach) and he wants Meghan to come down for an unofficial visit soon." HOW PERFECT because we were already planning to go to CS that coming weekend.
Sunday morning we ALL show up (Mom, Dad, Michael, Emily, Jim and Elizabeth) decked out in A&M to support Meghan. The coach was a little surprised to see that our family kept going on and on... haha! We let my parents and Meghan meet with the coaches, and take the tour. We didn't want to have the Streight/Larkin train going around and overwhelm everyone. Even though we do usually all travel in a pack. We love supporting one another. Meghan got to meet ALL the coaches for the team, take a tour of there facilities and hang out with the team. She was with the girls pregame and during half time. A&M showed what they were about and talked about why they like Meghan. It was such a neat experience. It was good for her to see how the coaches interact with players. We will see what happens!! She is only a SOPHOMORE! I think she can verbal commit somewhere end of sophomore or beginning of Junior year. Of course we are all pulling for A&M. HELLO Jim and I are AGGIE grads! WHOOP!! How fun would it be to meet in CS for her games! Now we just gotta get Michael there!! He is just as talented in Football. I will write about him at the end of season with his stats. Here are some pics from the fun day!
